Abstract

Tribological behaviour – friction, wear and lubrication – of machine elements highly depends on the operating state and also the original topography of working pair.
The aim of this study was to analyse the rail brake block surface to get information about their macro- and microgeometry to verify the numerical wear simulation has been seen in first part of this paper.
