Összefoglalás | From the mid-nineties, I created several mobile robots – with the help of students involved in the research –, and almost all of these robots had (in addition to other sensors) traditional and omnidirectional cameras as well. The paper presents after the summary of the research goals and the applied methods the achieved results and solutions on the area divided on three parts: navigation and obstacle avoidance in indoor environment; localization and map building in outdoor environment; such specific system as a software that makes it possible to easily develop stepping strategies, or a method to significantly improve the quality of the image of the PAL optics and the omnidirectional sensors. |
