Abstract | What can the life be without seeing? It can be very difficult to travel unknown places using only voice inputs, the white cane and sometimes the guide dog. The aim of this project was to develop a new device to help visually impaired people. The device contains an ultrasonic sounder and receiver. It measures the distance of the obstacles in front of the user. After the process phase it converts to similar vibration motion as in the case of mobile phones and optionally to audible sound. In fact it converts the visual information to vibration or/and sound information, that can help to navigate its user. |
